Armadillo :: Nest Entrance Mats

Our beloved mats from Armadillo have been a feature in Our Corner Store for years, we even have one of our own outside the entrance that's stood the test of time. If you already have an Armadillo piece you'll know how hardy they are. For those of you who are new to the club, the composition of these mats is 100% jute, handmade by traditional artisan and made from all-natural fibres. This means they will be around, at your entrance or hallway, for years and years.

Armadillo has been producing rugs since 2009 that are 100% handmade in India, using Fair Trade practices and natural and sustainable fibres.

Their rugs are the work of artisans whose intricate weaving traditions are centuries old. They have been passed down through generations and reinterpreted by Armadillo & Co for contemporary interiors. Hand dyeing and sun drying add abundant texture and vibrancy to the yarn which is then flat woven, hand-knotted or braided. This hand looming and knotting imbues each rug with subtle character and timeless appeal.

Armadillo maintains a ‘reuse, reduce and recycle’ philosophy with the use of sustainable fibres like wool and jute.
